BUCHAREST (Romania), April 19 (SeeNews) -Blue chip lender Banca Transilvania [BSE:TLV] led the decliners among the blue-chips on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) on Wednesday, bourse data showed.
The total equity turnover of the BVB rose to 28.5 million lei ($6.7 million/ 6.3 million euro) from 18.7 million lei on Tuesday.
Banca Transilvania was the top blue-chip decliner, loosing 0.91% to 2.71 lei and posted the day's largest turnover of 10.83 million lei.
Romanian power supplier and distributor Electrica [BSE:EL] fell 0.14% to 14.34 lei and posted the day's second largest turnover of 5.6 million lei.
Blue-chip bank BRD Societe Generale [BSE: BRD], lost 0.91% to 12.42 lei in the day's third largest turnover of 2.74 million lei.
On Tuesday, the shares of Romanian dairy producer Albalact [BSE:ALBZ], part of French group Lactalis, were withdrawn from trading on the BVB, marking the delisting of the company from the bourse.
In November 2016, Albalact's shares were suspended from trading on the BVB following the takeover of the company by Lactalis for 340 million lei ($80 million/75.1 million euro).
Albalact shares will also be excluded from the BET Plus, BET-XT, BET-XT-TR and BET-BK share indices of the BVB.
As announced last year, Albalact will be replaced in the BVB indices by cardboard maker Vrancart [BSE:VNC]. On Friday, Vrancart decided to use the capital market to attract fresh financing to expand its operations. The company has attracted 38.25 million lei from the BVB following the first issuance of notes.

BET-FI tracks the SIFs and property restitution fund Fondul Proprietatea.
BET-NG includes companies from the energy sector and utilities.
BET-XT is a blue chip index and reflects the price evolution of the most liquid 25 shares traded on the regulated market, including the SIFs.
BET-XT-TR reflects the price performance of the top 25 most traded Romanian companies, as well as their gross dividends and cash distributions.
