TIRANA (Albania), May 26 (SeeNews) – The Albanian Development Fund (ADF) said it is seeking a consulting firm to support a project for upgrading the country’s tourism information management system and statistics that aims to foster tourism development.
Expressions of interest must be delivered in writing by June 15 and the assignment must be completed within 6 months, ADF said in a procurement notice on Tuesday.
The assignment is part of a project for integrated development of urban infrastructure and tourism activities focused on Albania's south and financed with the proceeds of a $71 million (58 million euro) loan from the World Bank.
The objective of the project is to improve urban infrastructure, enhance tourism assets, and strengthen institutional capacity to support tourism-related local economic development in selected areas, the World Bank said earlier.
ADF is a public agency whose mission is to encourage a sustainable, balanced and cohesive socio-economic development at local and regional level. The ADF was established at the beginning of 1993, based on an agreement between the Albanian government and the World Bank.
