BUCHAREST (Romania), June 28 (SeeNews) – Romania's Altex Group said on Monday that it plans to acquire 30% of Axionet IoT, a local company providing smart charging stations and solutions for electric and plug in hybrid cars.
Altex Group will contribute to the expansion of Axionet's Polyfazer network of electric car charging stations, it said in a press release.

"The main development directions for Altex in the near future include the implementation of a charging station infrastructure for electric and plug-in hybrid cars, the implementation of solutions for solar energy production, as well as the optimization of its own energy consumption," Altex Group owner and CEO Dan Ostahie said.
Going forward, Axionet will take over the implementation, management and operation of green energy solutions and services within the group's Altex store network, for the group's internal and external customers.
"Attracting such a strong partner allows us to continue projects to provide charging services for electric and hybrid plug-in vehicles and increase investment in renewable energy production, to support the mobility of the future, which will be characterized by a high level of digitalisation and sustainability," Axionet general manager and founder of Polyfazer Gabriel Ionita said.
Established in 2005, Axionet offers a full range of solutions for remote monitoring, localisation, alarming and reporting in regards to vehicles, machinery and other assets. Through the Polyfazer network, it is offering smart charging stations and solutions for electric and plug in hybrid cars, video and photo recording in the cloud for IP security cameras and solutions and services into IoT area.
Altex Group, established in 2000, and comprises IT&C and electronics retailer Altex Romania, Complet Electro Serv, consumer loans company Credex, auto dealer Auto Moldova and software developer Axsys Business Technologies. Since September, the group also owns 79% of local IT equipment distributor Despec.
