December 8 (SeeNews) - Industrial gases producer Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] led the Belgrade stock market blue-chip gainers on Thursday, rising 3.32% to 13,909 dinars, as share indices extended their winning streak.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, added 0.32% to 717.08, its highest level since May 25, 2015 when it closed at 722.27. On Wednesday, the BELEX15 gained 0.04% to 714.78.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, rose by 0.41% and reached another three-year high of 1,581.40 on Thursday, after advancing 0.75% to 1,574.89 points in the previous session.
Trading in shares generated 34.6 million dinars ($298,199/280,802 euro) of turnover versus 20.7 million dinars on Wednesday. More than half of Thursday's turnover was generated by civil engineering group Energoprojekt Holding [BEL:ENHL] and oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS]. The turnover of Energoprojekt and NIS shares came in at 11.02 million dinars and 10.4 million dinars, respectively.
NIS was the most traded blue chip on Thursday, as 14,276 shares changed hands. However, the company had the worst performance among BELEX15 components, its share price declining by 1.08% to 730 dinars.
