In 2025, Kosovo’s economic output is projected to grow by 3.9%, the World Bank said in its June 2024 Global Economic Prospects report on Tuesday, again maintaining its April projection.

The World Bank forecasts that the Western Balkans' economic growth will speed up to 3.2% in 2024, from an estimated increase of 2.5% in 2023.

“Private demand is projected to be the main driver of growth, while the drag from weak net exports is expected to be less significant than in 2023, reflecting a pickup in exports alongside the euro area's recovery,” the global lender said, adding that the new EU growth plan is expected to enhance the subregion’s economic integration and socioeconomic alignment with the EU.
