January 30 (SeeNews) - Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air said on Thursday it will launch two new routes from Bulgaria's capital city of Sofia - to UK's London Gatwick Airport, near Crawley in West Sussex, and to Denmark's Billund.
The company will service flights to London Gatwick Airport every day of the week, starting from June 1, while the route to Billund will be launched on June 3, Wizz Air said in a statement.
Flights to Billund will be operated two times per week - on Wednesdays and Sundays, Wizz Air said.
Wizz Air, which started operations in Bulgaria in 2005, currently operates 51 routes from three Bulgarian airports - Sofia, Varna and Burgas. The air carrier has nine aircraft based in Bulgaria - seven in Sofia and two in Varna, and a locally based aircrew of 300.
