March 24 (SeeNews) - Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air said on Tuesday it is suspending flights to the Romanan cities of Timisoara, Craiova and Sibiu due to restrictions imposed by Romania's government on the access of foreign citizens in the country in an attempt to curb the spread of the new coronavirus.
The decision refers to the March 25 - May 1 period, Wizz Air said in a press release.
Wizz Air will continue to operate flights from Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Suceava, Constanta, Tirgu Mures and Satu Mare depending on the restrictions imposed by the different countries to which Wizz Air operates from the respective airports.
Earlier this month, Wizz Air suspended flights from Romania to UAE and announced that it is reducing the number of flights to destinations in Spain and Italy from Romania due to local restrictions and low demand caused by the outbreak of the coronavirus.
