January 19 (SeeNews) - U.S.-based wellbeing platform Gympass said on Wednesday it has acquired Romanian sport and wellness subscription provider 7Card.
With over 1,000 corporate clients and more than 600 wellbeing partners, 7Card presents the ideal addition to the Gympass business in order to expand its footprint in a new market, Gympass said in a press release.

French-owned catering and corporate services provider Sodexo Romania became the majority shareholder of Benefit Seven, the company operating the 7Card brand, in 2017.
Gympass and Sodexo will also sign a commercial agreement, enabling Sodexo to offer the Gympass platform to its clients across the globe, with an initial focus in Spain, Romania and the UK, in addition to an existing partnership in Brazil.
Founded in 2012 in New York, Gympass has 50,000 fitness partners and offers 1,300 on-demand classes, 2,000 hours of meditation, therapy sessions, and hundreds of personal trainers in multiple markets across North America, Latin America, and Europe.
