August 25 (SeeNews) - Turkey's flag carrier Turkish Airlines said on Thursday it is launching a new route from Romania's northwestern city of Cluj to Istanbul in Turkey as of September 1.
Initially, the carrier announces that it will start operating the new route at the end of July, but because of the military coup attempt in the country on July 15 the decision was postponed.
The flight will run four times a week, Turkish Airlines said in a press release.
The new destination brings the airline's total number of destinations in Romania to three, besides capital Bucharest and sea port city Constanta.
The flag carrier flies to more countries worldwide than any other airline, with 323 aircraft travelling to 289 destinations worldwide, including 240 international and 49 domestic.
