ANKARA (Turkey), March 5 (SeeNews) – Passenger cars sales in Turkey declined 17.74% on the year to 51,535 vehicles in the first two months of 2014, the Turkish Automotive Distributors' Association (ODD) said on Wednesday. Total automotive sales volume decreased 19.25% year-on-year to 67,691vehicles in the period under review as sales of light commercial vehicles went down 23.72% to 16,156, the association said in a statement. In February alone, automotive sales in Turkey dropped 27.5% year-on-year to 35,021 vehicles as car sales declined 26.2% to 27,167 units and sales of light commercial vehicles decreased 31.66% to 7,854.
