SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), December 8 (SeeNews) – Bosnian company Timemedia and Italy's Goldwater SRL have shown interest towards construction of a biorefinery for cellulosic ethanol in Bosnia's Serb Republic entity, the entity government said.
The government of the Serb Republic said on Thursday it will soon sign a cooperation protocol with the companies, following which they will start securing financial and other resources for the project.
Cellulosic ethanol is produced from vegetation unsuitable for human consumption such as wood, grass and algae and is used as biofuel.
The biorefinery is planned to be located in Bosnia's north-eastern region of Semberija.
The Serb Republic is one of two entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other is the Federation.
