TEB Kosovo's Q1 net profit rises 22% y/y

May 16 (SeeNews) - Kosovo’s bank TEB, fully owned by Turkey’s banking holding TEB, said it recorded a net profit of 7.2 million euro ($7.8 million) in the first quarter of 2024, which represents an increase from the 5.9 million euro profit booked in the prior-year period.

TEB’s loan portfolio amounted to 613.5 million euro at the end of March, up from 555 million a year earlier, TEB said in a data release last week.

The bank’s deposit portfolio rose to 718 million euro at end-March from 657 million euro a year earlier.

Total assets grew to 855.8 million euro, from 771.2 million euro.

TEB was the fifth largest lender by assets among 11 banks that operated in Kosovo in the first quarter of 2024, according to Kosovo Banking Association.
