November 28 (SeeNews) - Slovenian pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG] said it raised its own shareholdings to 5.385% from 5.366% after repurchasing 5,949 of its shares for an overall 571,678 euro ($593,327) on the Ljubljana bourse.
Krka bought 1,053 shares at 96.36 euro each on November 17, 454 shares at 98.35 euro each on November 18, 1,234 shares at 97.98 euro each on November 21, 1,269 shares at 95.73 euro each on November 22, 695 shares at 94.17 euro each on November 23, as well as 1,244 shares at 94.63 euro each on November 24, it said in a bourse filing on Friday.
Prior to the transactions, Krka held 1,759,830 of its own shares. Following the repurchase, it now holds 1,765,779 own shares.
The share purchase is part of Krka's new share buyback programme, launched in July 2020, under which the company plans to acquire a maximum of just over 1.84 million own shares over the following 36 months. The maximum pecuniary amount allocated to the programme is 356.4 million euro.
