February 1 (SeeNews) - Slovenian state-controlled motorway company DARS has completed the introduction of an e-toll system on January 31, as the validity of annual physical vignette stickers issued in 2021 expired, it said.
"Today, annual vignettes issued last year in the form of a sticker expire," DARS said in its Twitter profile on Monday.
Customers have accepted well the e-toll system, which was introduced on December 1, and sales have proceeded smoothly, DARS said in a statement last month.
In February 2021, Slovak smart transport information systems developer Skytoll won a 15.7 million euro ($17.8 million) contract to establish an e-toll system in Slovenia.
The price of electronic vignettes remained unchanged for all types of vehicles. For cars, the seven-day vignette costs 15 euro, while the monthly and yearly vignettes cost 30 euro and 110 euro, respectively.
