May 24 (SeeNews) - Slovenian port operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG] has booked a consolidated net profit of 15.4 million euro ($16.7 million) in the first quarter of 2024, down by 7% on an annual basis, it said.
Consolidated sales revenue went down 1% to 79.4 million euro in January-March, Luka Koper said in a statement with the Ljubljana bourse on Thursday.
The company's consolidated earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) went down to 17.8 million euro from 19.6 million euro, while the earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) went down to 25.9 million euro from 27.6 million euro.
Luka Koper handled 5.3 million tonnes of cargo in January-March, down 7% on the year, with dry and bulk cargo declining 18% to 1.2 million tonnes. An overall 2.4 million tonnes of container cargo was processed in the period under review, down 5% on the year.
