November 24 (SeeNews) - Total gross written premiums of Slovenian insurers rose 3.23% on the year to 2.17 billion euro ($2.57 billion) at the end of October, the Slovenian Insurance Association said.
Premiums from the non-life segment increased 4.15% on the year to 1.55 billion euro at the end of October, while life insurance premiums went up 1.02% to 620 million euro, the Association said in its latest monthly report published on Monday.
Health insurance accounted for the largest share of non-life insurance with premiums rising by an annual 8.48% to 544 million euro at the end of October. Land motor vehicles insurance followed, advancing by 3.69% on the year to 277 million euro.
Third biggest was motor vehicle liability insurance where premiums edged up 0.31% to 239 million euro in the period under review.
