LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), October 13 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's finance ministry said it sold on Tuesday 100 million euro ($118 million) worth of three-month and 18-month Treasury bills at two separate auctions.
The ministry sold three-month Treasury bills worth 65 million euro, above its 30 million euro target but below the 200 million euro demand, it said in a statement.
The issue yielded a negative 0.45%, compared with a negative yield of 0.40% at the previous auction of three-month government securities held in September. The newly sold government securities will mature on December 30.
The finance ministry also auctioned 35 million euro worth of 18-month Treasury bills, lower than the 100 million euro target and way below the 355 million euro demand. The issue, which matures on April 14, 2021, yielded a negative 0.50%, compared with a negative yield of 0.30% achieved at the previous such auction held in July.
In September, Slovenia sold 50 million euro worth of three-month T-bills, above the 20 million euro target but below the 90 million euro demand.
In July, the finance ministry auctioned 18-month securities worth 93.56 million euro were sold, just below the 100 million euro target and considerably lower than the 327.56 million euro demand.
