Slovenia reports one new coronavirus death, six new infections

May 5 (SeeNews) - The number of people who died from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Slovenia rose to 98 by Tuesday morning, up from 97 a day earlier, while the number of total infections rose by 6 to 1,445, the government in Ljubljana said.

A total of 17 people are under intensive care out of all 56 who have been hospitalised, the government said on a website it has created to monitor the coronavirus spread in the country.

At the same time, the number of registered recoveries rose by 3 to 244, it added.

The latest count is based on the results of 57,676 tests, with 1,338 of the total being executed in the past 24 hours.

The first confirmed coronavirus case in Slovenia was reported on March 4.
