April 20 (SeeNews) - The Slovenian infrastructure ministry decided to lower the fees charged by the country's sole seaport operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG] in order to support the company's competitiveness amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Luka Koper said.
Under the decision, Luka Koper is halving its port fees for cargo ships and scrapping fees for passenger ships until the end of September, the company said in a statement on Friday.
The decision was taken at the initiative of Luka Koper and the Slovenian Ship and Freight Agents Association, the statement read.
The port's shares traded at 19 euro ($20.7) by 09:50 CET on Monday on the Ljubljana bourse, after closing flat at 19.10 euro on Friday.
