March 13 (SeeNews) - Ukrainian airline SkyUp said that it is due to launch flights connecting Kyiv to the Bulgarian cities of Varna and Burgas, on the country's Black Sea coast.
The Kyiv-Burgas flights will commence from May 31 and will be operated two-three times per week, SkyUp said in a post on its official Facebook page on Monday.
The airline will launch Kiyv-Varna flights from June 14 and will operate flights on the route on Fridays.
Varna Airport and Burgas Airport are operated by Fraport Twin Star Airport Management - a 60/40 joint venture of Fraport and Bulgarian company BM Star. Fraport Twin Star Airport Management won a 35-year concession to run the airports in 2006.
Combined passenger numbers at Varna and Burgas airports fell by 3.3% year-on-year to 129,504 in the January-February period of 2019.
