The new company, to be based in Belgrade, will primarily focus on the development of intermodal logistics solutions, Transfera said in a press release on Thursday.

"Intermodal transport represents the future of logistics and we firmly believe that, by combining common resources, knowledge and experience, we can initiate a positive change and set new standards in the industry," said Transfera CEO, Dusko Radovic.

RCG opened an office in Serbia in January 2023.

Last week, Serbia said it is close to completing the construction of a 15.5 million euro ($16.8 million) intermodal terminal in the Belgrade neighbourhood of Batajnica.
