Serbia's avg net wage up 9.8% y/y in April

June 25 (SeeNews) - Serbia's average net wage rose by a real 9.8% year-on-year to 96,614 dinars ($883/825 euro) in April, following an annual increase of 8.0% in March, the statistics office said on Tuesday.

On a monthly comparison basis, Serbia's average net wage fell by 1.0% in real terms in April, after rising by 2.7% in March, the statistics office said in a statement.

In April, the average net wage in the public sector stood at 101,031 dinars, while outside the public sector net wages averaged 94,836 dinars.

In January-April, the net wage was up by a real 9.0% compared to a year earlier.

The average gross wage in Serbia totalled 133,356 dinars in April, up by an annual 9.8% and down by a monthly 0.7% in real terms.
