BELGRADE (Serbia), May 17 (SeeNews) – Serbia’s competition regulator said it has approved the acquisition of First Serbian Science Television (SNTV) by Luxembourg-based United Media, a subsidiary of US investment firm KKR.
The market structure will not change significantly after the completion of the deal, according to the decision posted on the website of the competition authority.

The acquisition will be carried out through a joint venture in which United Media will hold a 75% stake and Serbian citizen Stanislava Katic will own 25%.
SNTV was launched in 2012 as a project of organisation Knowledge Committee of Serbia (KoznaS) and focuses on science and culture programmes, according to data from the website of the broadcaster.
The TV station is transmitting in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Montenegro.
In Serbia, KKR also owsn TV stations N1 and SBB.
