The decision will be put to the vote at the company's regular shareholders' meeting on June 27, Simpo said in a statement with the Belgrade bourse on Monday.

It gave no further details on the planned capital hike.

The company's current capital is divided into 18,404,320 no-par-value stocks of 367.25 dinars ($3.4/3.1 euro) in book value each. The shares did not trade on the Belgrade bourse in the past year.

The government controls more than 50% of Simpo through various state funds.

Earlier in May, Simpo said its consolidated net loss widened to 762 million dinars last year from 738 million dinars in 2022.
