May 16 (SeeNews) - Serbian blue-chip rubber and chemicals group Tigar Corporation said its consolidated gross profit soared to 275 million dinars ($5.2million/3.3million euor) in the first quarter of the year from 16 million euro a year earlier. The first-quarter profit of the holding company and its constituents in the Serbia rose to 262 million dinars from a loss of 544 million in the same period last year, Tigar Corporation said in a statement posted on the website of the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX).
