The bridges will reduce congestion in the city and ensure a better flow of traffic, infrastructure minister Goran Vesic said, as quoted in a press release on Tuesday.

Construction work on two of the bridges has already begun, while for the third one the local authorities are awaiting project documentation.

Three bridges currently span the Danube in Novi Sad - Liberty Bridge, Varadin Bridge and Zezelj Bridge.
