March 6 (SeeNews) - Serbian health minister Zlatibor Loncar said on Friday the first case of the coronavirus infection in the country has been confirmed.

"What we expected has happened, we have the first confirmed case of coronavirus in Serbia," Loncar said during an extraordinary news conference broadcast live on the YouTube channel of news agency Tanjug.

The patient is a 43-years-old man from Subotica, Loncar said.

"Most importantly, he feels good. He is a man who was in Budapest several times. His sister, who had coronavirus-like problems and had viral pneumonia, lives there," Loncar noted.
