December 17 (SeeNews) - Serbia's health minister Zlatibor Loncar said the country is interested in cooperating with Russia in a potential joint production of Russia's Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine.
"We received the vaccine to make additional research. There were no such moves from other countries, only from Russia," Loncar said in a video file posted on the YouTube channel of Russian state-owned broadcaster Russia-24.
Serbia has received 20 doses of Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine for laboratory tests, Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic said earlier this month.
The Russian vaccine will be tested in Serbia in parallel with the one developed by US-based pharmaceutical company Pfizer and German biotechnology company BioNTech.
