August 31 (SeeNews) - Serbia’s unemployment rate stood at 11.1% in the second quarter of 2021, down by 1.7 percentage points compared to the previous quarter, statistical office data showed on Tuesday.In the second quarter of 2020, Serbia's jobless rate was 7.9%, the statistical office said.In the April-June period, the unemployment rate among men was 10.5% and among women, it was 11.8%, the data indicated.The employment rate in Serbia increased to 48.3% in the second quarter, up from 46.3% a year earlier. In the first quarter of 2021, the employment rate was also 46.3%.
