April 3 (SeeNews) - Romanian self-adhesive labels manufacturer Sunimprof Rottaprint said on Tuesday it expects a turnover of 21.7 million euro ($26.7 million) in 2018, up 10% over last year.
The company recorded a 7% year-on-year increase in revenues in the first quarter of 2018, it said in a press release.
"In 2018, we will implement a new ERP system customized for the printing industry that will enable us to improve our internal streams and automate some of them," Sunimprof Rottaprint general manager, Cristi Nechita-Rotta, said.
In 2013, the company drafted a major investment plan, proposing to invest a total of 18 million euro in technology and software by 2021 with the objective of improving workflow, product quality and introducing new products to the manufacturing line.
In 2017, Sunimprof reported a turnover of over 19.8 million euro, up 21% year on year. The company also invested some 2 million euro in technology and software last year.
According to company data, exports contributed 24% of Sunimprof Rottaprint's total turnover in 2017, with deliveries to 14 countries in Europe, Asia and the USA. Also, the number of the customers of the company increased by about 10% last year.
Among the products of Sunimprof Rottaprint printed labels and yogurt caps account for 65% of all orders. Among the industries that requested the company's services last year, the manufacturing industry leads with a share of 69%.
In terms of sectors of activity, some 38% of customers come from areas such as milk and cheese production, meat products, meat processing and preservation, production of non-alcoholic soft drinks and mineral water, as well as production of bread, cakes and pastries.
Established in 1991 in Apahida, Cluj county, Sunimprof Rottaprint is the largest flexographic printing house producing self-adhesive labels in Romania. It has four logistics centers - in Timisoara, Brasov, Ilfov, Pascani, and two logistics centres abroad - in Hungary and Germany.
