July 1 (SeeNews) - Romanian investment fund Neogen Capital said on Thursday that it is investing 150,000 euro ($178,395) in local events marketplace platform Tulipr.ro.
The investment marks Neogen's entry into the events industry, the fund said in a press release.
Most of the investment will be directed towards the development of the platform by adding new functionalities that will allow users to organise and coordinate a complete event through Tulipr.ro.
Another part of the investment will be allocated to the promotion of the platform so that the service reaches as many potential users as possible.
"It's a very good time for the events industry. In order to adapt, players need to be as visible and accessible to each other as possible so that the process of organising an event is as efficient as possible," Neogen CEO Calin Fusu said.
The platform connects event service providers with potential customers interested in organising an event.
"Our goal is that by the end of the year, the platform will become the largest marketplace for events and every day a successful collaboration will be concluded through it," Tulipr.ro co-founder Larisa Burca said.
Tulipr.ro was launched in October 2020 and has since hosted more than 500 active suppliers and attracted thousands of users interested in organising a private or business event. In May alone, more than 100 successful contracts were concluded through Tulipr.ro.
