June 10 (SeeNews) - Romanian private healthcare services provider MedLife Group [BSE:M] said on Friday it has acquired a diagnostics centre in Sfantul Gheorghe and bought a 60% stake in a medical centre in Targu Mures.
"The two acquisitions represent a natural step in expanding our operations in central region of the country. We are already present in both cities with outpatient and laboratory facilities, and the new acquisitions will complement existing services with new facilities for both our corporate clients and individual patients," MedLife Group executive director Dorin Preda said in a press release.

Besides image diagnostics, The Tomorad centre in Sfantu Gheorghe offers services in the areas of neurology, nephrology, orthopedics, cardiology and vascular surgery, MedLife said in a press release.
With an activity of over 25 years on the market of private medical services in Romania, the gastroenterology medical centre in Targu Mures mainly provides services in the field of digestive pathology.
With the two latest transactions, MedLife will have 41 acquisitions in its portfolio.
According to company representatives, other transactions will follow by the end of the year.
MedLife currently operates in nearly 700 own and partner locations, including over 230 clinics and hyper-clinics.
Its shares traded 1.74% lower at 19.8 lei at 1547 CET on Friday on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
