September 1 (SeeNews) - Romania's unemployment rate inched up to 5.1% in July, from a revised 5% in the previous month, the national statistical office, INS, said on Wednesday, citing provisional data.On an annual comparison basis, Romania's jobless rate was 0.4 percentage points lower in July 2021, INS said in a statement.There were 420,000 unemployed people in Romania in July, down from 408,000 in June.The jobless rate among women was 4.7% versus 5.4% among men.The unemployment rate among adults aged between 25 and 74 was estimated at 4.1%. The percentage of unemployed people aged between 25 and 74 in the total number of unemployed was 76.5% in July.The statistics office revised June jobless rate to 5% from 5.2%.Romania's workforce is estimated at about 9 million out of a population of some 19.5 million.(1 euro = 4.9348 lei)
