October 28 (SeeNews) - Romania's consolidated budget was in deficit equivalent to 5.44% of the gross domestic product (GDP) in the first nine months of 2024, widening from a 3.52% gap a year earlier, as spending increased by 20.7% to 512.22 billion lei ($111.4 billion/102.99 billion euro), the finance ministry said.
