Foreign exchange inflows amounted to 1.964 billion euro in June, while outflows totalled 2.644 billion euro, the central bank said in a monthly report on Romania’s international reserves.

The gold reserves of the central bank remained steady at 103.6 tonnes, while their value rose to 7.249 billion euro at the end of June from 7.197 billion euro a month earlier due to an increase in global gold prices.

The international reserves of Romania, including foreign currencies and gold, totalled 71.641 billion euro at the end of June, down from 72.269 billion euro in May.

In July, the payments due on Romania's foreign currency-denominated public and publicly guaranteed debt will amount to about 347 million euro, the central bank said.
