November 8 (SeeNews) - Romania's state-owned EximBank said on Tuesday that it is lending 60 million lei ($12.3 million/12.3 million euro) to local technology company Trencadis.
Trencadis will use the loan to finance expenses related to a public sector contract it won at the end of last year, as part of a consortium of local IT&C companies, EximBank said in a press release.
The EDULIB project involves the creation of a digital platform with open educational resources. Under the project, 5,400 secondary schools will be equipped with multimedia kits and 5,400 teachers from all over the country will be trained.
Founded in 2007 in Baia Mare, Trencadis is a technology company specialized in software development solutions for the government and business environment.
EximBank was set up in 1992 as a stock company with the Romanian state as major shareholder.
