Romania's c/a gap rises to 6.6 bln euro in April

June 13 (SeeNews) - Romania recorded a current account deficit of 6.576 billion euro ($7.106 billion) at the end of April, compared with a gap of 5.191 billion euro a year earlier, the central bank said on Thursday, citing provisional data.

The deficit in trade of goods rose to 9.054 billion euro as at the end of April, while the services surplus contracted to 4.26 billion euro, the central bank, BNR, said in a statement.

Primary income deficit widened to 2.736 billion euro at the end of April from a shortfall of 1.945 billion euro a year earlier, while secondary income surplus rose to 954 million euro from 433 million euro.
