August 28 (SeeNews) - Romania's consolidated budget was in deficit equivalent to 4.02% of the gross domestic product (GDP) in the first seven months of 2024, widening from a 2.4% gap recorded in the same period of 2023, as spending increased by 23.2% to 402.6 billion lei ($90.099 billion/80.89 billion euro), the finance ministry said.
