July 30 (SeeNews) - Romanian online beauty salon appointments startup Stailer said on Friday it has raised a pre-seed investment worth 500,000 euro ($593,694) and plans to accelerate its development in Romania and the region.
Stailer aims to improve technology, expand nationwide and increase investment in marketing, it said in a press release.
The company intends to expand in Brasov, Constanta, Pitesti, Ploiesti and Sibiu by the end of August. Currently, Stailer is present in Bucharest and Cluj.
In addition, the new investment will stimulate the continued growth of marketing efforts to accelerate the digitalization of the beauty industry.
"I view a fantastic opportunity in digitizing the beauty industry in Romania and globally. Stylists and salons now need new consumers more than ever, while users need a simple, fast and reliable way to schedule access to beauty services," Stailer CEO and co-founder Andrei Ursachi said.
As part of new investments in technology, Stailer will launch a consumer app for Android and iOS. The first commercial version, with new enhancements and features, will be released in August.
The angel investor financing round was led by Cosmin Țîrvuloiu, serial entrepreneur and investor in tech projects.
Following the investment, Stailer is valued at 5 million euro.
Currently, the Stailer platform offers users access to over 300 salons and 1,500 stylists, and also over 100 reservations are made every day. In terms of the number of users, Stailer's goal is to reach a network of 1,000 salons and 5,000 stylists by the end of 2021.
