July 8 (SeeNews) - Romanian pavers manufacturerproducer Symmetrica said on Thursday that it has invested 6 million euro ($7.1 million) in a new plant in the western county of Arad as part of plans to expand its production capacity and geographical coverage.
The new unit located in Zimandu Nou has an area of over 3,000 sq m and was build on a 40,000 sq m land plot, Symmetrica said in a press release.
The factory, Symmetrica's seventh in the country, will produce pavers, curbs, garden elements and gutters. Average daily production is seen at 3,000 sq m per day, increasing by 15% the company's total production.
In 2020, Symmetrica's turnover rose 20% to 162 million lei ($39 million/ 33 million euro), as the construction market was not too severely impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
