February 24 (SeeNews) - Romanian massage armchairs distributor Komoder said that it plans to invest 170,000 euro ($206,641) this year in new showrooms in France, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
Komoder aims to open the showrooms by the middle of this year, it said in a press release on Tuesday.
For 2021, the company expects a 50% increase in turnover.
"We are optimistic that this year we will be able to maintain the growth rate recorded in 2020, but we are aware that the new year will bring many challenges," Komoder founder and CEO Adrian Rus said.
In 2020, Komoder posted a turnover of 24 million lei ($5.99 million/ 4.92 million euro) and expanded to Hungary, Italy and Spain.
It is also present in the Bulgarian capital Sofia, in Rotterdam in the Netherlands and in Milan in Italy. In Romania, the company has showrooms in the capital Bucharest and in the cities of Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara and Iasi.
For 2021, Komoder also estimates an increase in deliveries for mid-range units, priced between 1,500 and 3,000 euro. The range will be updated with new models.
Rus founded Komoder in 2011.
