October 24 (SeeNews) - The Romanian leu on Wednesday ended stronger against the euro as overnight interest rates rose sharply, dealers said. "The leu opened at 3.3700/30 per euro and was traded in the range 3.3740-3.3770 until 3 p.m. [1200 GMT], but following speculation on the market and surging overnight rates in the afternoon it appreciated to 3.3650. It closed even stronger at 3.3500/20 per euro," one dealer told SeeNews.
