Romanian c-bank FX reserves drop in Nov

December 4 (SeeNews) - The foreign exchange reserves held by Romania's central bank, excluding gold, totalled 33.062 billion euro ($39.168 billion) at the end of November, down from 33.932 billion euro a month earlier, the central bank said on Monday.

Foreign exchange inflows totalled 1.070 billion euro in November, representing mostly changes in the foreign exchange reserve requirements and inflows into the finance ministry's and European Commission's accounts, the central bank, BNR, said in a statement.

Foreign exchange outflows totalled 1.940 billion euro, representing changes in credit institutions’ foreign currency-denominated required reserves, interest payments and principal repayments on foreign currency public debt and other.

The gold reserves of the central bank remained unchanged at 103.7 tonnes and were worth 3.643 billion euro at current international prices at the end of November.

The international reserves of Romania, including foreign currencies and gold, totalled 36.705 billion euro as of end-November, down from 37.581 billion euro a month earlier.

Romania will have to pay approximately 107 million euro on public and publicly guaranteed foreign currency-denominated debt in December.
