Pristina airport passenger traffic rises 20.5% in H1

July 8 (SeeNews) - The number of passengers passing through Kosovo’s Pristina international airport rose to 1,839,112 in the first half of 2024, from 1,526,786 in the prior-year period, the airport’s operator, Limak Kosovo International Airport (LKIA), said.

The number of flights at the airport reached 11,948 in the January-June period, a 14% increase from the same period last year, LKIA said in a social media post last week.

In 2023, the number of passengers using Kosovo’s Pristina international airport rose to 3.42 million, from 2.99 million in the previous year, Kosovo’s civil aviation association (CAA), said in January.

LKIA is part of Turkish conglomerate Limak Holding which invests in the energy, tourism, food, construction, and infrastructure sectors.
