June 1 (SeeNews) - The operator of the Pristina airport, Limak Kosovo International Airport (LKIA), plans to add four gates two the terminal, investing 3 million euro ($3.2 million) in the expansion, the finance ministry said on Thursday.
Following the expansion, the airport will have twelve boarding gates, the ministry said in a notice published in its website.
In 2022, the airport handled 3 million passenger, a 37% increase compared with the previous year, data from the its website show.
LKIA is an arm of Turkish conglomerate Limak Holding, which invests in the sectors of energy, tourism, food, construction, and infrastructure. It has operations in 14 countries, according to its 2022 report.
