January 28 (SeeNews) - Combined passenger traffic at the two international airports of Romania's capital Bucharest plummeted 70% year-on-year to 4.468 million passengers in 2020, the airports' operator said on Thursday.
The combined number of take-offs and landings at the two airports fell by 54% on the year, reaching 67,696 in 2020, CNAB said in a press release.
CNAB operates Bucharest's main airport, Henri Coanda, and a smaller one, Aurel Vlaicu.
Henri Coanda airport handled 4.456 million passengers and registered 52,288 aircraft movements in 2020.
Aurel Vlaicu airport handled 12,329 passengers in 2020 and registered 15,408 aircraft movements.
CNAB was created in 2010 through the merger of companies that managed Henri Coanda and Baneasa airports.
