September 27 (SeeNews) - N. Macedonia's gross electricity output decreased by an annual 11.8% to 432,971 MWh in July, the statistical office said, citing preliminary data. Net electricity output decreased 14% year-on-year in July - to 400,533 MWh, Makstat said in a statement on Monday. Thermal power plants contributed the largest portion of the gross electricity production in July, generating 271,212 MWh, up 30% compared to the same month in 2021. Hydro power plants generated 100,315 MWh, down 15% year-on-year. Wind parks' output rose 42% year-on-year to 10,464 MWh in the month under review, while biogas plants generated 3,079 MWh of electricity, down 28% compared with the same month in 2021. Solar parks produced 3,410 MWh, up 14% on the year. North Macedonia’s electricity imports decreased by an annual 12% to 132,858 MWh in July. Electricity exports came in at 40,099 MWh in July, up 1.6% on the year. Distribution losses decreased by 12.2% on the year to 46,330 MWh in July.
