N. Macedonia banks' green loan portfolio up 26% y/y in Q1

July 8 (SeeNews) - The green loan portfolio of North Macedonia's commercial banks rose 26.37% year-on-year to 19.86 billion denars ($349.8 million/322.6 million euro) in the first quarter of 2024, the central bank said on Monday.

Green loans to the corporate sector totalled 18.77 billion denars at the end of March, while loans to households came in at 1.09 billion denars, the central bank said in a statement.

The share of green loans in the total loan portfolio was 4.5% at the end of the first quarter.
