Most Sofia stock indices decline, Chimimport paces blue-chip losses

July 3 (SeeNews) - Three of the five indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed in red territory on Wednesday, with the blue-chip SOFIX losing 0.17% to 847.87 points, bourse data showed.

SOFIX was driven down by diversified group Chimimport [BUL:CHIM], which shed 2.82% to 0.69 levs, and hydraulic equipment manufacturer M+S Hydraulic [BUL:MSH], which went down 1.50% to 9.85 levs.

Chimimport and M+S Hydraulic also pressed the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse. It fell by 0.22% to 167.56 points, additionally hit by a 9.05% drop in steel radiator manufacturer Korado Bulgaria [BUL:KBG] to 4.42 levs.

The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, slipped by 0.06% to 190.44 points on the back of a 0.31% tumble at Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER] to 3.19 levs.

Meanwhile, the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, advanced by 0.09% to 854.43 points. The biggest gainer in the index was software developer Sirma Group Holding [BUL:SGH], which leapt 6.48% to 1.15 levs.

The BEAMX index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, grew by 0.32% to 106.40 points. It was mostly buoyed by financial services company ITF Group [BUL:ITF], which added 5.00% to 5.55 levs.

Total turnover on the main market of the BSE soared to 8.62 million levs ($4.73 million/4.41 million euro) on Wednesday from 1.02 million levs on Tuesday.

Sirma was the most liquid stock of the day, with a turnover of 137,379 levs after the trade of 121,381 shares.
