SOFIX's biggest loser was hydraulic equipment manufacturer M+S Hydraulic [BUL:MSH], which erased 3.85% to 10.00 levs.
Meanwhile, the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, went up 0.02% to 167.35 points. The loss at M+S Hydraulic was offset by a 4.29% increase in real estate investment trust Sopharma Buildings REIT [BUL:SFB] to 14.60 levs and a 3.30% advance in fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:NEOH] to 18.80 levs.
The BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, added 0.03% to 850.18 points. Alongside the rise at Sopharma Buildings, the index was buoyed by a 1.38% climb in energy and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:EUBG] to 1.47 levs.
Sopharma Buildings also posted the biggest gain in the BGREIT. The index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, leapt by 0.65% to 190.49 points.
The BEAMX index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, grew by 0.51% to 102.60 points. It was lifted by cargo drone developer Dronamics' special purpose vehicle Dronamics Capital [BUL:DRON], which ended the session 3.17% higher at 2.60 levs.
Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse jumped to 4.4 million levs ($2.4 million/2.2 million euro) on Tuesday from 1.74 million levs on Monday.
Pharmaceuticals producer Sopharma [BUL:SFA] generated the majority of the day's turnover, or some 4.24 million levs, after 713,625 shares traded. The stock closed 0.33% lower at 5.96 levs.
